My name is Camille Burfield she/her. I'm 21 and come from South-West London. I fell in love with film after watching the film Amélie, I didn't know films could be this way. My favourite piece that I have made is called "Thats what she said!", it handles feminist topics in humorous way, I was lucky enough to be nominated by BAFTA qualifying HER international film festival.
What made you interested in filmmaking?
My favourite form of storytelling is portrayed on the screen. Making someone feel an emotion through your art is what its all about.

Do you have any women in that industry that serve as role models to you/particularly inspire you?
Phoebe Waller-Bridge is my idol, her writing is just so inspiring and Agnès Varda, her influence on the French New Wave is ground-breaking.
Do you have comfort piece you always go back to?
Phantom Thread film by Paul Thomas Anderson
Describe your work in one sentence
3 words: Quirky, French, feminism.
What is a cause you'd like to channel through your work?
I just want people to feel something when they see something different in my work, that's all I can ask for. If I inspire other female artists to join the film industry I will say I've made it.
What is an unexpected fact about you?
I failed to be a vegetarian because I couldn't be asked to search through menus in restaurants for a good vegetarian option.
